Joe Romano OBC 2028

Outside of sports, Coach Joe is an avid toy collector—especially Batman memorabilia—and enjoys collecting sports cards, primarily basketball and football. He also loves traveling, hiking, and exploring the outdoors.

As a player, Coach Joe was a member of his high school basketball team that reached the Indiana Final Four in 1989, an experience that continues to inspire his coaching today.

Miranda Gagnon OBC 2027

I am originally from New Hampshire and relocated to Florida in 2019.

I began my coaching career in New Hampshire, working from 2013 to 2019 at both the middle and high school levels. During that time, I served as Head Coach for a boys middle school program and as Defensive Coach for the boys freshman team at the high school I proudly attended as a student. I also coached girls high school AAU and boys middle school AAU with the Spartans Basketball Organization, gaining valuable experience in player development, team culture, and competitive growth across multiple age groups.

I have been with OBC for nearly two years as an assistant coach.

Outside of coaching, I enjoy staying active through workouts, spending time with my puppy, and competing in a billiards league.

I am extremely excited to begin this new chapter with OBC as the Head Coach for the 2027 team and look forward to continuing to develop players both on and off the court.

Raquel King OBC 2029-King

I’m Raquel King from Orlando, Florida—a passionate basketball coach who loves the game and everything it teaches. I have coached with JN Athletics, Premier, and Lake Howell High School, and I am dedicated to helping young athletes develop their skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for basketball. When I’m not coaching, you can find me training players or watching college basketball and football.

Roger Hazelwood OBC 2032 Hazelwood

Hello, my name is Coach Roger Hazelwood, and I am originally from Savannah, Georgia. I have been involved in youth development for over 17 years and have been around basketball my entire life. I played at the high school, collegiate, and semi-professional levels, which has helped shape my understanding of the game both on and off the court.

I moved to Orlando in 2019 and began working with Windermere Basketball Academy from 2022 to 2024, where I assisted with the girls’ youth development program. In 2024, I had the opportunity to join OBC as a parent assistant for the Class of 2030 team, helping to coach and develop young athletes. In the fall of 2025, I was promoted to Head Coach and currently lead the Class of 2032.

Outside of basketball, I am a proud husband and father of three daughters, with our fourth child expected in August. When I’m not in the gym, you can usually find me at one of the amusement parks or relaxing at the beach. I love being near the water—and most importantly, I’m always working to help your child grow, develop, and succeed both on and off the court.
